As a fan who’s been following both Clairo and SahBabii since their respective breakthroughs, I must say that their collaboration on “Show Off” has left me utterly spellbound! The way these two distinct voices blend seamlessly is nothing short of magic.
Yes, you read that right: Clairo and SahBabii have joined forces.
In a fresh twist from SahBabii’s expanded version of “Saaheem,” titled “Saaheem (A Lu Bit More),” the track “Show Off” represents an unexpected collaboration between the rapper and singer.
As Sah takes control of the music equipment, Clairo adds her otherworldly backup vocals to the track, making their presence felt from the very start of the nearly 3.5 minute long piece.
In a melodious tone, SahBabii sings, “‘You’re just too flashy,’ she remarks, while I seem to have her charmed, as cool and hard as a diamond,” with Clairo echoing an “Oooooh” softly behind.
The eye-catching move is complemented by an equally mesmerizing music video directed by Lyrical Lemonade, where the rapper journeys through a wintry landscape while riding in the back of a car with yetis as his companions.
In my own words, I joyfully shared on Instagram, “I lent my voice to this track!” Meanwhile, SahBabii, in a separate post, expressed gratitude by saying, “Cole Bennett was at the helm of this project. A big thank you to everyone, your reactions were incredible! Shoutout to Clairo for those stunning vocals and to all my supporters, I couldn’t do it without you!
