As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to the iconic roster of villains from the legendary Batman: The Animated Series. Mondo, known for its exceptional work in pop culture memorabilia and figure-making, is once again stepping up to immortalize another beloved character from this groundbreaking animated show.
After successfully creating figures for some of the series’ most iconic baddies such as Bane, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Man-Bat, they are now ready to unveil the next big thing in the Batman: The Animated Series line. According to an exclusive report by IGN, Mondo has announced that they will be adding the fan-favorite, shape-shifting character, Clayface, to their collection of top-quality figures.
1) The adored animated series boasts an array of well-known voice actors, such as Kevin Conroy, Loren Lester, Paul Williams, Robin Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Bob Hastings, and Mark Hamill, to mention a few. Now, the spotlight is on Ron Perlman’s Clayface character, with a meticulously designed and remarkably lifelike figurine from Mondo that truly honors it.
1:6 scale figures from the new line offer fans a chance to showcase their beloved characters in diverse positions, with Clayface being unique due to his ability to transform into various forms. Impressively crafted, this figure boasts a partially articulated joint system, where the body conceals an internal, ratcheting skeleton, ensuring maximum flexibility.
For the Clayface figure, Mondo has added 13 extra pieces for the standard version and an additional 8 for the collector’s edition, making it one of their most remarkable figures yet. In total, there are 1500 units up for grabs, divided into two editions: the standard edition priced at $260 and the exclusive edition costing $280. The higher price point is well deserved due to the unique features of the exclusive edition.
Besides the extra shape-shifted hands and weapons that embody the villain’s design, the exclusive edition boasts even more impressive interchangeable pieces. These include a Batman portrait replica, a puddle of clay where Clayface’s defeated head can be attached, and an exciting piece featuring Batman struggling to escape from Clayface’s chest. That’s totally awesome!
Fans of Batman: The Animated Series can now pre-order the standard version and the special edition, both scheduled for delivery in July 2025. Here’s the link to pre-order each one:

An Exciting Future for Clayface in the New DCU
I’m thrilled to share that the freshly unveiled terrifying masterpiece couldn’t have come at a better moment in the rollercoaster ride of this monstrous character’s career. Mark your calendars for September 11, 2026, as DC has announced the release date for the highly anticipated Clayface horror film, penned by the talented Mike Flanagan (The Life of Chuck, The Haunting of Hill House). Although a director hasn’t been appointed yet, fans of this underappreciated Batman villain can hardly contain their excitement.
It’s been hinted that Clayface could potentially star in “The Batman II,” but there’s speculation he might surpass this by becoming the first DC Universe villain to headline his own movie. Given his deep, tragic backstory and the abundance of visual effects associated with a shape-shifting clay character, Clayface is an ideal candidate for a solo film.
Fans may no longer see Perlman’s unique take on the iconic villain, but rest assured, Mondo will ensure that the remarkably versatile character remains in our memory.
