Clint Eastwood’s ‘Juror #2’ to Stream on Max in December 20

As a cinephile who has seen more movies than I can count on one hand (or maybe even two), I’ve always had a soft spot for underdog films that deserve recognition but often fall through the cracks. The tale of Juror #2, directed by the legendary Clint Eastwood, is one such movie.

Following screenings in approximately 50 theaters nationwide, Juror #2 is now set for streaming later this year. Directed by Clint Eastwood, this film could potentially be the veteran director’s final project. However, despite favorable reviews from critics, Warner Bros. seemed to limit its theatrical success. But soon, viewers will have the convenience of watching Juror #2 at home, for a reasonable price.

The host revealed that Juror #2 will make its debut on the platform as a “Max Original” on December 20th. Originally marketed as a Warner Bros. Pictures theater release for several months prior to its initial November date, it is now classified as an original movie for streaming and can only be found on Max. It appears that Eastwood was aware of the film’s intended streaming destination, and his knowledge of the situation did not come as a shock. However, it’s difficult not to feel that the movie, with its Certified Fresh 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes, could have been successful in theaters and might have even had an impactful awards season run.

JUROR #2 is centered around Justin Kemp, played by Nicholas Hoult, who during his duty as a juror in a high-stakes murder trial, grapples with a significant ethical predicament. This dilemma, which could influence the jury’s decision, has the potential to either convict or acquit the accused murderer.
