As a lifelong fan of both Hong Kong culture and streetwear fashion, this upcoming CLOT CAFE pop-up collaboration with adidas is truly a dream come true for me! Having grown up in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, I can’t wait to immerse myself in the nostalgic ambiance of the Cha Chaan Teng culture, complete with vintage design elements and classic dishes that transport me back to my childhood.
Edison Chen’s CLOT has announced its upcoming CLOT CAFE pop-up with adidas.
This event happening in Shanghai draws inspiration from the vibrant Cha Chaan Teng culture of Hong Kong. It promises authentic dishes like rice noodles, satay beef, french toast, and pineapple buns. The unique touch is that attendees will use branded CLOT tableware during their meal. On October 12th, the event will introduce a collaborative adidas Superstar shoe with a tan and brown color scheme, reminiscent of Hong Kong’s milk tea style. Additionally, other commemorative clothing items are expected to be available at the pop-up location and JUICE STORE outlets.
On Instagram, CLOT announces, “We’re honoring the CLOT Superstar by Edison Chen ‘Milk Tea’ collaboration with adidasoriginals by opening a temporary CLOT 凝結冰室 cafe in Shanghai. This pop-up will showcase design elements reminiscent of Hong Kong’s famous Cha Chaan Teng culture, offering a nostalgic atmosphere complete with vintage tile patterns and neon signs. Inside, you can find exclusive merchandise inspired by the charm of Cha Chaan Teng, as well as an early sneak peek at the new CLOT Superstar design. The pop-up will also serve a special menu for a limited time, featuring authentic Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng dishes paired with milk tea in our exclusive CLOT 凝結冰室 tableware.
The design of this pop-up takes inspiration from ’80s Hong Kong cafés, featuring classic vintage tiles and a distinctive deep green color that’s synonymous with the city. This Shanghai pop-up will introduce an exclusive collaboration between CLOT and adidas Superstar, only available in greater China. A pre-launch event kicks off on October 12, lasting until supplies run out. The pop-up will close on October 31.
