As a globe-trotter and a connoisseur of insightful storytelling, I can hardly contain my excitement for this latest move by CNN! The launch of the “CNN Originals” FAST channel promises to bring some of the most captivating, thought-provoking shows right into our living rooms – and best of all, it’s free!
Starting today, a variety of original content from CNN, such as programs presented by Anthony Bourdain, W. Kamau Bell, Lisa Ling, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, can now be accessed at no cost by viewers.
Today, CNN debuted a fresh, ad-supported streaming service called “CNN Originals,” which focuses solely on exclusive CNN Original content. This new channel, “CNN Originals,” offers an assortment of programs drawn from the CNN Originals collection, arranged in a continuous sequence for viewing pleasure.
Some of the exciting shows that I’ll be able to stream on this service include “Amanpour: Exploring Love Across Globes,” “Anthony Bourdain’s Uncharted Journeys,” “Chasing Life with Medical Maverick Dr. Sanjay Gupta,” “Diana: A Journey” (I presume), “Lincoln: Nation Divided,” “Soundtracks: Melodies that Shaped History,” “This is Life from Lisa Ling’s Perspective,” “The Wonder List with Bill Weir’s Insights,” and “United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell.” (And more!)
The programming will become more accessible as it’ll be offered beyond just the Max streaming platform, with a significant increase in its distribution.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled about the expansion of CNN’s streaming strategy. Currently, I catch some live CNN programming, and they have two FAST channels – one for the U.S. and another international. But according to Phil Nelson, the executive VP of CNN international commercial, there are more channels in the pipeline set to launch soon!
The debut of the freshly introduced CNN FAST channel will first become available on Amazon Freevee, Prime Video, and Fire TV, as well as on Plex. Over the next few weeks and months, more platforms are expected to join this lineup.
“Nelson expressed his delight at broadening CNN’s FAST collection with the introduction of a captivating CNN Originals channel. This addition will provide viewers access to some of the most prestigious, long-form content in the industry, awarded for its quality,” he stated.
