- Spirit of the Island is making its way to mobile
- The formerly PC-exclusive life sim is out now on iOS and Android
- Play together with a friend or on your own!
As a long-time fan of the life simulation genre, I couldn’t be more excited about the mobile release of Spirit of the Island! Having spent countless hours on games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, I’ve grown quite fond of the comforting rhythm of tending to virtual gardens, crafting, and building up a thriving community.
Today, the cooperative life simulation game “Spirit of the Island” is released on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. Previously, we shared updates about its development; now, players can experience this captivating new life sim firsthand.
Previously, Spirit of the Island was exclusively available on PC via Steam and received generally positive feedback from players. Now, you have the opportunity to experience this game firsthand as you work to transform a personal island into a prosperous resort. Collaborate with a friend or go solo in this endeavor, and collect unique pets along the way to enhance your journey!
Instead of just explaining the typical reasons for a story involving an inheritance and property restoration, this particular tale, focusing on a resort, offers the full package found in life simulation games. Features like crafting, fishing, and designing are included, ensuring that Spirit of the Island delivers an engaging experience within the genre.
A Harvest Stardew Crossing by any other name
The “life simulation” genre, which we’ll call it for now, has gained widespread popularity, and it’s not surprising that an increasing number of games are being developed for mobile devices. Although Spirit of the Island didn’t receive a warm welcome on PC, given its rich mechanics and captivating visuals, it could potentially thrive in the mobile gaming market.
If none of the mentioned games excite you, don’t worry. We have an extensive list of highly anticipated mobile games for this year as well.
