Coco & Clair Clair Announce Headlining Tour, Drop New Single “Kate Spade”

As a huge fan of Coco & Clair Clair, I can’t help but feel excited about their upcoming headlining tour this fall! The duo’s journey started over a decade ago on Twitter and has since blossomed into a successful music career. Their debut project, P.O.S.H., was released four years later, and they’ve relocated from Atlanta to New York, releasing an EP, Treat Like Gold, and their debut LP, Sexy.

As a long-time fan of Coco & Clair Clair, I am beyond excited to share the news that they will be embarking on a headlining tour this fall! Having followed their music career since its inception, I have always admired their ability to blend genres and create captivating melodies that resonate with audiences across the globe.

A pop duo from Atlanta first connected on Twitter over a decade ago. They launched their initial work, the project named “P.O.S.H.,” four years afterwards. Since then, they’ve moved to New York and published an additional EP titled “Treat Like Gold.” In 2022, they introduced their debut LP, called “Sexy.”

On August 30, an album titled “Girl” will be released. This project was brought to life between Amsterdam and Joshua Tree, and it’s a collaboration between me and Raven Artson. We’ve described this album as our most exposed and vulnerable work yet. The tracks encompass a range of styles, from new rock tunes to old beats that I produced years ago.

In the initial phase of composing our album, Coco & Clair Clair humorously referred to it as if they were pregnant. They described this new project as more like nurturing a girl baby, while their previous work, titled “Sexy,” felt like a boy. As they delved into writing, they unearthed old lyrics from past relationships that they initially considered too personal or exposing. These lyrics had been set aside for years. Now, they were integrating these pieces into their new work, experimenting with a smoother, more refined, deliberate, and intimate style of production.

“We found a balance between the fresh method we adopted and the traits that initially drove us forward – creativity, bravado, and extravagance, which can be seen as strengths associated with femininity and youth as equally with masculinity.”

Along with announcing the tour, the duo has shared a new song from the LP entitled “Kate Spade.”

Explore the complete schedule of Coco & Clair Clair’s concert appearances on their official website. The release date for their new song, titled “Girl,” is set for August 30 and can be streamed online then.
