Colbert Minimizes L.A. Riots in Cringe-Worthy Fashion

There’s nothing funny about an elderly person struggling with stairs.

For over four years, certain informal guidelines were temporarily suspended due to a single cause: The elderly U.S. president and his team frequently misrepresented their leader’s physical and cognitive abilities. Regrettably, President Joe Biden also faced difficulties navigating both steps and level ground.

He wasn’t well, but both the Legacy Media and Democrats shouted otherwise.

A group of comedians who are not afraid to challenge authority noticed President Biden seemed vulnerable, and they saw an opportunity to reveal the truth about some presidential untruths by poking fun at his situation.

It was darn near patriotic and admittedly comical in a dark, depressing way.

In a more casual and clear rephrasing: Known for his satire, Stephen Colbert previously concealed Biden’s health issues due to political biases. Now that people worldwide are discovering Biden’s deterioration, Colbert claims President Donald Trump also struggles with climbing stairs similarly.

As a movie enthusiast, even though Trump had recently stumbled on some stairs, making the incident insignificant, Colbert’s “Late Show” writers didn’t miss the chance to capitalize on it.

A left-leaning TV program fabricated an advertisement depicting President Trump as declaring war on steps. The skit begins with a minor fall by the leader, and then it transitions into clips of everyday people tripping on stairs that have gone viral online.

The superficial aspect is rather unpleasant due to Team Colbert’s attempt to conceal numerous trips and faux pas, both physical and verbal, by President Biden.

It gets worse, though.

The remainder of the video satirizes President Trump for calling in the military to combat his so-called “anti-stair” conflict. This is a play on his decision to mobilize the National Guard to maintain order during Los Angeles’ recent riots, which were labeled as “mostly peaceful,” despite the burning, looting, and threats against law enforcement officers.

The video contains a single chuckle – the “dogs and cats” remark, though aged, symbolizes Donald Trump’s ambitious reach for 2024, touching upon one of the more unusual stories from recent times.

One laugh echoes in the video – the “dogs and cats” quip, though vintage, hints at Donald Trump’s ambitious 2024 bid, reflecting a far-fetched storyline that has emerged recently.

The rest is flat. Here’s why.

As a cinema enthusiast, I must say, at the moment, President Trump seems to be navigating his second term with vigor rather than stumbling. Contrary to popular belief depicted in “The Simpsons” a few years back, portraying him as weak and fatigued, he appears to be in great health for someone of 78 years old. It’s fascinating how life mirrors art sometimes!

Satire demands a kernel of truth to hit home.

Additionally, it’s crucial to acknowledge that the Los Angeles riots are indeed tragic and devastating events. If they persist, there is a risk of loss of life. Already, we have witnessed burnt vehicles, closed roads, and plundered businesses. These businesses might not recover from such damage.

It’s serious business.

Colbert is more than willing to play down that aspect, unlike employing humor to ridicule politicians who also dismiss turmoil with similar nonchalance.

That’s not satire. It’s propaganda. And nobody does that better than Colbert. Sadly.
