CONCEPT(K) and CAMPERLAB's Zero-Waste Glueless Sneaker is All About Process

As a seasoned gamer who has traversed countless virtual worlds and experienced the intricacies of design in those digital landscapes, I can appreciate the tangible beauty that is the Stone Grey Tossu collaboration between CONCEPT(K) and CAMPERLAB. The fusion of their shared ethos for innovative and sustainable design is a testament to the power of collaborative creativity.

Together, CONCEPT(K) and CAMPERLAB have teamed up for the “Stone Grey” Tossu, inspired by their mutual love for innovative design approaches. The zero-waste, glue-free design philosophy of CAMPERLAB has been adapted to fit within CONCEPT(K)’s distinctive, concrete-style color scheme, showcasing the studio’s admiration for natural materials and rugged textures.

As a gamer, I can’t help but admire the one-of-a-kind sculptural vibe this gamepad has. Its asymmetrical molded rubber cage and shattered eyelet system really set it apart. The sole and uppers are seamlessly merged through an innovative direct injection process, which means no glue is used and there’s minimal waste. Plus, the sock-like part is crafted using 3D-knitting techniques, adding to the eco-friendly design ethos while also incorporating recycled polyester.

The shoe embodies a sleek, contemporary style with a focus on simplicity, yet it’s carefully crafted to fit perfectly within its surroundings – reflecting the essence of both brands, CONCEPT(K) and CAMPERLAB. These two brands occupy a distinctive niche in the footwear industry, offering stylish sneakers without resorting to extravagant showiness. By choosing a minimal color scheme, the joint project “Tossu” highlights the unique techniques employed in its creation and production.

This brand has managed to gather an impressive team of collaborators ranging from adidas Originals to côte&ciel. The latest silhouette and past projects showcase the designer’s unique aesthetic, which revolves around intricate cage structures and stylish sock linings.
