As a connoisseur of both Japanese art and sneaker culture, I can hardly contain my excitement for this latest Converse All Star “UKIYOEPRINT” Hi drop! Having been deeply immersed in the rich tapestry of Ukiyo-e for years now, I’ve come to appreciate the intricate details of these timeless prints. To see the hauntingly beautiful “Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre” by Utagawa Kuniyoshi grace the canvas of a pair of All Stars is nothing short of a dream come true!
Converse All Star “UKIYOEPRINT” Hi
Converse is reintroducing one of its “UKIYOEPRINT” All Star Hi models, this time with a fresh design based on the latest updates. Previously, the brand revealed two versions featuring renowned Ukiyo-e art prints by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Kuniyoshi during the fall season.
In the latest drop, I’m rocking a fresh take on Utagawa’s iconic “Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre” design. Instead of the usual dark gray upper with classic white soles, this time it’s all-black, giving it an eerie, nighttime vibe. The skeleton figure on the outsides stands out even more now, thanks to its bold color contrast that really pops against the black background.
