As a seasoned gamer and avid follower of sports-inspired fashion trends, I must say, this new Converse signature logo by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is nothing short of extraordinary! Being a fellow creative soul, I can appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into crafting this masterpiece. The mirrored No. 2s symbolizing his uniform number and dual roles on and off the court? Brilliant!
Instagram recently showcased Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s fresh logo for Converse, a position he earned as the Creative Director of Converse Basketball following his appointment by the brand.
Under Gilgeous-Alexander’s supervision, the design was carefully shaped, as he assumes his position to leave an impression with Converse. The logo signifies the beginning of a new chapter and the initial move during his term with the brand. Originally sketched by the athlete himself, the design features two mirrored No. 2s – a tribute to his jersey number and a symbol of his responsibilities both on and off the court. By combining basketball and fashion, the logo embodies the harmony of sport and creative expression.
Looking forward to stretching boundaries and offering inventive and groundbreaking products using Converse’s narrative, Gilgeous-Alexander and the brand unveiled their logo in an eye-catching 3D outdoor display in Toronto during the Thunder vs Raptors game on December 5. Take a peek at the logos below for a glimpse of what is yet to be revealed.
