As a gamer who’s been through the highs and lows of the rap game, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement when it comes to Cordae’s new album, “The Crossroads.” With three solid singles under his belt already, including “Mad as F*ck,” I’m ready to ride this wave.
rapper Cordae has begun the launch of his “The Crossroads” project, making official announcements about the album release along with another strong new single. Following the releases of “Summer Drop” featuring Anderson .Paak and “Saturday Mornings” in collaboration with Lil Wayne, Cordae has now debuted “Mad as F*ck”, coinciding with the confirmed details for the album.
The fourth studio album by the rapper, titled “The Crossroads,” is confirmed to be released on Friday, November 15th. According to Apple Music’s pre-save page for the album, “The Crossroads” will contain 17 songs in total. While tracks such as “Summer Drop,” “Saturday Mornings,” “Mad as F*ck,” and last year’s collaboration with .Paak titled “Two Tens” have been revealed, the rest of the tracklist is still kept secret. The song “Two Tens” serves as a bonus track at the end.
On track six, Cordae expresses his frustration about his rise to fame: ‘Oh boy, you guys are making me so angry! / My bank statements pile up, it’s been a heavy load / If you claim to love me (Woo), where’s my name inscribed? Go and get a tattoo of mine / I won’t be showing off my new car because it’s covered with dust (Skrrt)’, he raps on the first verse, flowing effortlessly over the beat produced by Darko, Elkan, and Smoko Ono.
