Coyote v. Acme

You’ve witnessed Will Forte portray countless characters on Saturday Night Live, explode things as MacGruber, and tug at our heartstrings in Nebraska. He’s making us laugh once more in Netflix’s Kinda Pregnant, where he is the ideal man for Amy Schumer’s dreams. He survived the apocalypse in Last Man on Earth, astonishingly! However, regrettably, you won’t see Forte take on the role of Wile E. Coyote’s legal counsel. This is because the film, Coyote v. Acme, appears to remain unseen by audiences, despite being reportedly finished. Warner Bros. even held a “funeral screening” for the movie recently, allowing those involved in its production, including stars Forte, Lana Condor, and John Cena, to view the film they worked on. While promoting Kinda Pregnant, Forte was gracious enough to express his thoughts about this situation:

My thoughts were that it’s fuck*ng bullsh*t.

Forte shared his thoughts by saying, “This movie is incredibly enjoyable,” effectively quashing speculation that its production had been halted due to poor quality. (MovieWeb has confirmed the script to be outstanding.) He expressed frustration over the film’s reception, saying, “It truly deserved a better fate than it received. I can’t explain why it wasn’t released, but it infuriates me.” Forte went on to say:

I’m glad you brought up the movie topic, as I enjoy discussing it. It’s important for me to talk about it because I want people to remember the impact it had on us. At the same time, I’m grateful that we were allowed to create it. However, if we invest our emotions into something and it doesn’t get shown, it feels disappointing. While I understand that not everything can be perfect, I believe this particular movie is exceptional.

In essence, life can take unexpected turns, and who knows, perhaps one day we’ll get to witness these moments. I truly hope that people do, as I took great pride in it. Lana did an outstanding job, she’s simply magnificent in it. To put it simply, it’s a charming movie, pure delight.

The Funeral Screening Convinced Forte & Lana Condor that ‘Coyote v. Acme’ Was Great

In the movie “Coyote v. Acme,” I take on the role of a hard-luck lawyer, fighting for Wile E. Coyote in his court battle against the colossal conglomerate, Acme. Lana Condor, my ally in this legal tussle against Acme’s formidable legal team (headed by John Cena), shared with ScreenRant her thoughts on a special screening of the funeral scene.

In the movie, it was primarily myself, Will Forte, and John Cena, with not many other human characters. Since most of the scenes involved green screens, I had no idea how it would turn out. At the funeral screening, I wondered if the film might not be good and if I’d made a mistake. But when I finally saw the movie, I felt proud of my performance – I thought it was my best work yet. It was funny, kind, and carried a powerful message. For me, discovering that the film was well-received was incredibly heartbreaking.

The work I am most proud of to date.” The removal of the film “Coyote v. Acme” from popular culture has been a significant loss for everyone connected to it, and there’s a sense that the joy the movie could have brought is still missing. Here’s hoping that one day justice will be served against the large corporation.
