Crenshaw Skate Club Weaves Its Heritage Into FW24

As a native Californian who’s spent countless hours cruising the streets of LA and skating the concrete jungles of our city, I can honestly say that Crenshaw Skate Club has always resonated with me on a deeper level. Their latest Fall/Winter 2024 collection is no exception. It’s like they’ve taken the essence of LA street culture and infused it with the energy of New York City.

The Crenshaw Skate Club consistently honors its Southern California heritage by weaving elements of its Los Angeles background into the designs and tailored apparel pieces it produces repeatedly. For their Fall/Winter 2024 collection, this brand led by Tobey McIntosh is reaching beyond California’s borders to draw inspiration from another influential city that has significantly impacted their brand identity: New York City.

The collection encompasses a variety of work jackets, denim pants, cardigans, t-shirts, hoodies, and hats, all embodying themes reminiscent of Los Angeles; a comprehensive pattern featuring Los Angeles Metro Rail Station maps is featured on the fittingly named Map Cardigan.

The lookbook, on the other hand, was captured in New York City during the brand’s “CSC in NYC” series. Models showcased the latest collection across Manhattan, posing in subway stairwells, before skyscrapers, and while waiting at street food carts.

McIntosh spoke about the latest release, stating that each item serves as a tribute to our past journeys and ongoing narratives. The venture into fresh product lines and designs amplifies CSC’s ethos of empowerment and innovation.
