In a chat on Netflix India’s YouTube channel, Shabana Azmi playfully debunked the notion that she was compelled to take up the role. Instead, she explained with a touch of humor, her circumstances were far more compelling: since her daughter-in-law penned the series and her son was the producer, she found herself in a position where she had no other option but to comply, particularly during these COVID times.
