Daisy Ridley is set to act in a brand-new virtual reality adventure that narrates the previously unheard VR tale of Bertha Benz. Additionally, she will assume the role of executive producer for this project once it evolves into a full-length film, according to an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Eloise Singer, an Emmy-nominated director hailing from Singer Studios in London, will be at the helm of an upcoming project. This captivating tale revolves around Bertha Benz, the remarkable wife of Karl Benz, who is renowned for inventing the Motorwagen. In a groundbreaking move back in 1888, Bertha embarked on the world’s first road trip, not only demonstrating the car to a skeptical public and media but also etching her name in history as a pioneer and paving the way for the innovative era that followed.

Ridley, renowned from the Star Wars universe, has been cast for the lead role in Trailblazer. She will collaborate with Singer and Lesley Paterson as executive producers during the production of both the film and comic book series adaptation of Trailblazer.

Ridley expressed that Bertha’s determination and bravery were truly inspiring, adding that it had been an honor to delve into her world and assist in sharing her tale. He hoped that viewers would find her journey as moving as he did during the course of this project.

On March 7, the untold story of Mrs. Benz, titled “Trailblazer,” will become available for viewing on both the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 VR platforms.
