As a seasoned gamer and an art enthusiast, I can’t help but be intrigued by Daniel Arsham‘s latest collaboration with Kohler. His unique blend of art and design has always captured my attention, and this new project is no exception.
I, as a passionate fan of Daniel Arsham’s multifaceted artistry, am always intrigued by his diverse collaborations. From teaming up with beloved brands like Pokémon and Porsche, to his ongoing projects with Moncler and Tiffany & Co., Arsham never fails to keep me engaged. His latest venture is particularly captivating: a series of bespoke interior furnishings in collaboration with the esteemed American manufacturing company, Kohler.
In 2021, Landshapes, which includes a 3D-printed ceramic sink sculpture, was introduced as part of Arsham in Kohler. This project is an expansion of Arsham Cabin, where the artist’s unique cabin is located at Destination Kohler by Lake Michigan. Inside the cabin, Arsham’s unusual designs for mirrors, chairs, and a bathtub add a surreal touch to the otherwise minimalist interior.
Arsham, who is the founder of Snarkitecture together with Alex Mustonen, has had a deep interest in interior design. The design duo created an intriguing piece called “Landshapes” that resembles a distorted artifact from an ancient civilization. This unique mirror is set against Kohler’s slate blue WasteLAB tiles, which are made from recycled materials. For those interested in acquiring one, the “Landshapes” collection will be up for sale towards the end of this year.
