The upcoming final season of “Daredevil: Born Again” is getting ready to deliver a thrilling and emotional end to the Man Without Fear’s story, and one of its stars has just added to the growing excitement. After first appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Netflix way back in 2015, Charlie Cox as Daredevil returns on Disney+, and [Vincent D’Onofrio], who plays Wilson Fisk (also known as Kingpin), can’t help but sing praises for the upcoming finale.
In an exclusive conversation with George Edelman from MovieWeb, Margarita Levieva, who is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the intense, violent series “Daredevil: Born Again,” as Matt Murdock’s therapist and love interest Heather Glenn, commended the last three episodes of the show. With the emotionally charged climax of the penultimate episode, “Isle of Joy,” we can expect to be prepared for additional heartache and intense violence, as Levieva hinted that is precisely what awaits us in the upcoming episodes.
I can hardly contain my anticipation for the final three episodes! I believe they are absolutely epic, jam-packed with a variety of elements including entertainment, heartache, intense, graphic violence. In short, it’s got everything from start to finish, and the way all these elements weave together or unfold is truly captivating. I can hardly wait for everyone to see those last three episodes!
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Has Been a Triumphant Return for the Marvel Icon
Based on the enthusiasm shown by fans towards the Netflix series and its main characters, Disney and Marvel Studios have chosen to carry forward the story in Daredevil: Born Again, at some point in the future. Initially, it was planned that certain members of the cast would reprise their roles, but Born Again aimed to take the character on a fresh trajectory. However, these plans were met with disapproval by Marvel chief Kevin Feige, who insisted on a comprehensive overhaul of the series. As a result, many people associated with the show were let go, and they had to start from scratch again.
The outcome has been more aligned with what preceded it, as the reception to ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has predominantly been extremely positive thus far. Currently, Season 1 boasts an impressive 88% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with the general consensus being, “By preserving Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and his formidable adversary Vincent D’Onofrio, ‘Born Again’ is a bold, occasionally clumsy crime epic that signifies a significant shift in tone for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the series titled “Daredevil: Born Again,” Matt Murdock, portrayed by Charlie Cox, is back in action. His path crosses with Wilson Fisk, known to many as The Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, as their former lives re-emerge, setting them on a destructive course. This star-studded cast also includes Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, better known as The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, aka Bullseye. Additionally, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, and Genneya Walton are part of the ensemble.
