Daredevil Season 2 Will Revamp Matt Murdock’s Love Life Forever

In the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again,” my involvement in romantic relationships is bound to undergo a significant shift.

Or, more casually:

Come Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” I’m expecting some major changes in my love life.

After the resurrection of the Daredevil series from its Netflix era, Matt developed a new romantic interest in Heather Glenn, portrayed by Margarita Levieva. This happened approximately a year following the loss of his close friend, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page’s departure to San Francisco for a fresh start in her life.

Matt and Heather’s relationship experienced numerous highs and lows throughout Born Again Season 1, notably due to Heather accepting Wilson and Vanessa Fisk as therapy clients. However, this was just the beginning of the chaos, as Fisk’s tenure as New York City’s mayor grew increasingly ominous with each subsequent episode.

The Major Shake-Up in Matt Murdock’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Love Life

In a conversation with TV Insider, showrunner Dario Scardapane has revealed that Matt and Heather Glenn parted ways after the series finale. Their relationship started during the current season’s early stages.

In conversation about Mayor Wilson Fisk’s associates (which includes Daniel Blake and BB Urich), Scardapane shifted focus to Margarita Levieva’s character, Heather Glenn. He highlighted her new role as “Fisk’s mental health advisor,” but also mentioned she was once involved with Matt. This implies that their relationship will come to an end in Season 2.

There’s a character similar to Daniel Blake who’s under Fisk’s protection, which must feel quite uneasy. We also have a journalist, BB, who is part of the administration, as well as Heather, Matt’s ex, who now holds the position of Mental Health Administrator for this.

In the initial season of Born Again, Matt and Heather’s bond developed rapidly; however, as Heather started spending more time working alongside Wilson Fisk, their relationship swiftly turned strained and unstable.

Will Matt Be in a New Relationship for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

Given the way Season 1 concluded, it’s not surprising that Matt and Heather’s romance didn’t last. With Heather choosing to work closely with Wilson Fisk and Matt re-dedicating himself to fight against the Kingpin, the challenges in their relationship were insurmountable, making a continued romance implausible.

As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming season, I find myself excitedly speculating that Matt and his team will venture into uncharted territories, given Kingpin’s proclamation of New York City being placed under martial law.

It appears that this development may lead to Karen Page (possibly including Matt) being enrolled in a witness protection program, as photos from the set show Karen sporting an unfamiliar red hairstyle. With Fisk’s task force now having unchecked authority over New York City, it’s clear that Karen and her closest associates will find themselves under increased danger.

In this situation, Matt and Karen might find their old connection reignited, despite Karen’s lingering unease about Matt’s mysterious side. Notably, given that she maintains a relationship with the risky figure of Frank Castle, there might be an opportunity for them to rebuild their bond.

Regardless of how Season 2 unfolds, Matt’s love story might just be a minor aspect compared to the chaos that seems inevitable across the remaining nine episodes.
