Dave Bautista Says He Tries to Sneak His Signature WWE Finishing Move “Into Every Film”

In an interview with ComicBook.com, the actor from “Guardians of the Galaxy” revealed that he enjoys incorporating his famous WWE finishing move, the Bautista Bomb, into his film roles. This move made an appearance in a fight scene for his newest project, titled “My Spy: The Eternal City”.

Bautista explained, “I couldn’t help but include it. While filming our fight scene, I thought, ‘What a great idea!’ And now, I can’t get enough of it. I’m trying to incorporate it into each movie for no other reason than enjoyment. It’s like a hidden tribute. If I manage to add it to every film, I will. It’s a small recognition of my past and a token of appreciation for the fans.”

After dedicating almost twenty years to professional wrestling with the WWE, starting in 2000 and eventually earning two championship titles before retiring in 2019, Bautista ventured into Hollywood. He has since appeared in numerous successful films including “Blade Runner 2049,” “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” “Knock at the Cabin,” and the “Dune” series.

Additionally, Bautista shared with Entertainment Tonight this week about his inner turmoil, confessing that he is yet to find contentment in his acting career.

He expressed his ambitions to excel in various acting genres and mentioned his desire to become a versatile actor. However, he acknowledged that there were still some genres and roles unexplored by him. Moreover, he confessed feeling unsatisfied as he hadn’t yet secured the deeply moving, dramatic role that he was seeking.

Bautista expressed that although his passion for acting remains strong, he is also looking forward to pursuing a career in directing in the future.
