In the year 2023, the prominent media tycoon, aged 82, exchanged vows with David Armstrong, previously a go-go dancer known as Michaels, at 32 years old. The ceremony took place in a private setting within Beverly Hills. This duo, who had chosen to keep their relationship confidential, reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement.

Based on a divorce petition submitted by lawyer Laura Wasser in Los Angeles on Thursday, Geffen stated that the couple’s separation was due to insurmountable disagreements, and they do not share any children together.

Based on court documents, it’s unclear to Geffen what specific parts belong to his individual property and what parts are shared with others.

It was stated in the filing that Michael will be granted alimony. Typically, this is given for half the duration of the marriage in California. The exact amount Michael, whose legal fees are being covered by Geffen, will receive was not mentioned in the court documents.

Geffen, whose wealth exceeds $9.1 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, was ranked 348th among the world’s richest individuals as of May 20.

This entrepreneur was instrumental in establishing Asylum Records back in 1971, later moving on to create Geffen Records and DGC Records as well.
