DC Heroes United is an upcoming narrative-driven game where big choices are decided by player vote

  • DC Heroes United is a choice-based game where the entire player base has their say
  • It’s set to release for iOS and Android this Fall
  • New episodes will air weekly on mobile and Tubi

As a longtime DC Comics enthusiast who has seen more Batman movies than I can count and spent countless hours poring over issues of Superman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman, I am beyond excited for the upcoming release of DC Heroes United this Fall. The choice-based gameplay and community-driven narrative are a breath of fresh air in the sea of traditional superhero games, particularly on mobile platforms.

In recent years, Marvel has dominated the movie scene compared to DC. However, this isn’t the case when it comes to mobile games. While there are numerous Marvel games available, DC fans haven’t been left empty-handed either. This fall, they will have another game to look forward to with Genvid Entertainment’s DC Heroes United launching on iOS, Android, and Tubi. But, you might wonder why Tubi? The answer is coming up next.

Registration for pre-order is currently available, but the exact release date is only indicated as ‘Fall’. This means that the launch could happen anytime from now until the final leaf falls off the trees. In the meantime, feel free to watch the How to Play trailer created by Genvid Entertainment, which might give you an idea if it’s something you would like to explore further.

This game deviates slightly from typical superhero mobile games we’re accustomed to. Instead, it offers a unique blend of choose-your-own-adventure storytelling and Survivor-like combat, but with a twist: every decision is put to a vote among all players. When faced with choices, each player casts their vote, and the most preferred option unfolds in new episodes released weekly. You can enjoy this interactive series on your phone or on Tubi.

While it’s an intriguing idea, it’s not entirely original as a similar approach was taken by Genvid Entertainment with Silent Hill: Ascension last year. Unfortunately, that project doesn’t seem to have left much of a lasting impression. However, this doesn’t mean the concept is without merit. I think it might be challenging to gain traction. On the other hand, relying on popular superheroes could potentially lead to greater success compared to something like Silent Hill, which has a smaller fanbase.

This autumn, the game “DC Heroes United” will be available for download on both the App Store and Google Play, offering a free-to-play experience with optional in-app purchases. To secure your spot before its release, you can pre-order it by clicking the buttons provided for your chosen platform.
