As a gamer with over two decades of binge-watching experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment upon hearing that Netflix has decided to part ways with the Dead Boy Detectives. Having grown up in the realm of the mystical and the macabre, these detectives were a refreshing twist on the supernatural noir genre, nestled snugly within the expansive tapestry of The Sandman’s universe.
Netflix has taken Dead Boy Detectives off the case.
The sequel to the series, sharing the same fantastical world as “The Sandman”, has been announced that it will not be produced for a second season. This announcement was made approximately four months following the initial release of its eight-episode season on Netflix.
More to come.
