Deadpool & Wolverine Fan-Favorite Character Finds Love in New Deleted Scene

As a film critic with over two decades of experience under my belt and a soft spot for the Marvel Universe, I must say that the newly released deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine has left me utterly smitten! The chemistry between Peter (Delaney) and TVA Officer B-15 (Mosaku) is palpable, and I’ve never been more excited about a potential romantic subplot in a superhero movie.

In an exciting development for fans, a previously unseen scene from Deadpool & Wolverine shows how Peterpool, portrayed by Rob Delaney, finally receives the affection he deserves. Making his debut as an inexperienced member of the X-Force in Deadpool 2, Peter’s unique ability to have both Type 1 and 2 diabetes set him apart as the team’s powerless mascot during their unsuccessful mission. A fortunate turn of events spared Peter from a grisly fate when Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) traveled back in time to rescue him. The delight of fans was amplified when Peter returned in Deadpool & Wolverine, but a recently discovered deleted scene hints that we almost witnessed even more of our cherished X-Force survivor.

In an exclusive deleted scene from Marvel Studios (which you can view below), we see TVA Officer B-15, portrayed by Wunmi Mosaku, escorting Peter home. The theatrical release hinted at a blossoming romance between them, and this cut scene progresses their relationship slightly more. As Peter prepares to enter his apartment, B-15 unexpectedly plants a quick kiss before vanishing through a TVA portal.

Apart from providing us with additional content featuring Peter (we’re always eager for more Peter!), the omitted sequence sheds light on the aftermath of the Deadpool variants. In the movie’s pivotal battle between the original Deadpool, Wolverine (portrayed by Hugh Jackman), and the Deadpool Corps, it was Peter’s unexpected entrance that turned the tide – since every Deadpool is fond of Peter. Previously, it was thought that the variants returned to The Void or their respective timelines. However, this scene suggests that some of them continue to exist within the Deadpool’s own timeframe.

What’s Next for Deadpool & Wolverine?

Following the incredible success at the box office where it broke records as the highest-grossing R-rated film ever, fans were left with many unanswered questions. Among them: What became of Gambit (portrayed by Channing Tatum)? Will Dafne Keen reprise her role as Laura? And most significantly, is there truth to Hugh Jackman continuing his portrayal of Wolverine until he reaches the age of 90?

In a sequential order, the outlook for Gambit remains hopeful yet uncertain. A cut scene reveals his return to his native planet following his time in The Void. However, no independent project featuring Channing Tatum’s beloved character has been officially announced as of now. For the time being, we eagerly await any fresh developments, with Tatum expressing readiness to jump back into Gambit at a moment’s notice. As for Dafne Keen, her future also hangs in the balance. Like her co-star who resembles Minions, Keen is equally optimistic about Laura’s prospects. Unfortunately, she has not been confirmed for any upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects as of now. However, whispers suggest that X23 might resurface on screen once more in Avengers: Secret Wars, alongside the over 60 Marvel characters rumored to be part of the grand film.

Regrettably, it appears that the prospects for Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprising their roles as Deadpool and Wolverine may not be favorable. Both actors have been vague about potential future appearances. If these two iconic heroes never don their superhero costumes again, then Deadpool & Wolverine could serve as a fitting conclusion to their extraordinary careers. Additionally, the film would not only rake in immense profits but also provide an emotional farewell to the Fox-created X-Men universe, where Deadpool and Wolverine were pivotal figures.
