After 30 years, long-standing anchor Deborah Norville from the syndicated CBS news program “Inside Edition” is leaving her position.
Norville made public her decision regarding the show on a Wednesday broadcast, informing the audience that she would be departing once this ongoing season concludes.
Or:
Wednesday saw Norville disclose her plans for the program, sharing with viewers that she’d be stepping down when the current season draws to a close.
Although they kindly asked me to remain, there are adventures I long to embark on and destinations I wish to explore that staying here doesn’t allow,” Norville explained on the program. “Consequently, at the end of this season, I will be moving forward. There are some thrilling projects in progress, which I’ll discuss further down the line, but for now, let me express my gratitude for having guided Inside Edition throughout these years. It has been an honor to collaborate with such a gifted team, and to be welcomed into your homes daily is something I appreciate deeply.
For the last 30 years, Deborah’s impressive influence, whether in front of or behind the camera, has significantly boosted the success of Inside Edition,” said Charles Lachman, the show’s executive producer, in a statement. “She has left an indelible mark on our program, and I eagerly look forward to seeing her continue to add to her remarkable career in broadcasting as she embarks on her next phase.
More to come.
