During an interview with Mashable India, Rohit Shetty was asked whether he’d prefer Deepika Padukone as Shakti Shetty or Meenamma. He replied, “Well, the story of Shakti Shetty is still unfolding, but at this moment, if I had to pick, Meenamma would be very dear to me.
In a recent chat with News18 Showsha, Shetty talked about the hold-up in introducing a female police officer into his movie world. He also gave some insights about the solo film featuring Deepika’s character. He admitted that he was unsure as to where they could take the idea they had planned.
The director confessed that before 2018, he hadn’t yet imagined a comprehensive Marvel-like universe for the character. He clarified that his goal was to make sure the character had an appropriate script.
It was during the creation process of the movie Sooryavanshi, featuring Akshay Kumar, that the concept of incorporating a female police officer character, played by Deepika Padukone, originated.
As a lifestyle expert, I must share that when discussing a solo movie centered around Deepika’s character, Shakti Shetty, Rohit made it clear that the screenplay for this project is currently under development. He hinted at an idea already established, but emphasized that the team is still delving into the finer aspects of its direction, ensuring a compelling and engaging storyline.
In simpler terms, the movie creator mentioned that he grasps Shakti Shetty’s character and the beginning part of her story, but as a screenwriter and director, his full vision for her overall journey in the film is yet to be revealed.
Rohit confidently confirmed to fans that a film focusing on Lady Singham is undeniably on its way, stressing that her appearance in “Singham Again” was not mere coincidence, and her increased role in the most recent version signifies her importance within the wider universe of the franchise.
