- Gamehouse returns to their long-running series, Delicious, with Delicious: The First Course
- Take on new challenges as you explore the origins of the series’ mascot, Emily
- Time management, minigames, upgrades and more in classic restaurant sim style!
In terms of sweet-themed cooking games, whether they are viewed positively or negatively, few can rival Gamehouse’s enduring series, Delicious. Now, you have the opportunity to embark on a fresh episode that delves into the origins of the studio’s character Emily, titled Delicious: The First Course.
If you’ve played the Delicious series before, this latest installment may not offer much that’s new in terms of gameplay. But if you haven’t, it might seem like you’ve been living on another planet! Essentially, it’s a game where you manage a restaurant, just like Diner Dash inspired it to be. You’ll need to keep track of multiple tasks at once to make sure your restaurant runs efficiently.
As you advance, you’ll transition from modest dining establishments to refined gourmet cooking, with unique mini-games in between and steady improvements to your restaurant. Hire staff, redesign the interior, and upgrade your tools to prevent your ideal culinary haven from becoming a disaster.
Simply irresistible
In my experience, it has been pointed out that one significant advancement in many successful mobile games lies in the incorporation of more narrative elements. It is believed that this idea was put forth by the team at Wooga, who noted that the story events in June’s Journey not only equaled but possibly surpassed the gameplay in keeping their player base engaged.
It’s not surprising that Gamehouse, who have followed Emily’s transformation from a solo restaurant owner to a content family woman, choosing various twists in their formula, would opt to return to fundamental elements after each change.
On January 30th, you’ll have a chance to get hold of Delicious: The First Course as per its listing on iOS. Until then, if you’re craving something culinary-related, why not check out some of our recommended cooking games for both iOS and Android devices?
