As a devoted fan of Anne Rice’s enchanting and chilling universe, I eagerly await the return of Alexandra Daddario as Ronan Fielding in the captivating second season of ‘Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches’. Having grown up reading Rice’s spellbinding works, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia, coupled with an undeniable anticipation, as I watch the gripping trailer.
In the recently released trailer for the second season of ‘Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches’, portrayed by Alexandra Daddario, character Ronan Fielding grapples with the mysterious demon she birthed and finds herself in a position where she must shield her family from it, amidst heartbreaking incidents that unfold. This trailer was unveiled on Halloween.
In a chilling forewarning, Fielding alerts about Lasher who is after Mayfair women, a menacing figure portrayed by Jack Huston. “I’ll handle this,” she assures in the preview for the series returning on January 5, 2025, airing on both AMC and AMC+.
In the AMC+ drama series inspired by Anne Rice’s novels, Fielding employs Lasher, a character who visibly ages throughout the trailer, for his role as a healer. This role is significant within the storyline as it ties in with the protagonist – an astute young neurosurgeon portrayed by Daddario – who uncovers her lineage as a witch from a prominent family.
Upon learning Lasher is a monstrous entity, Fielding must suppress her personal wishes and confront an ominous influence that has long tormented her kinship. In a teaser hinting at vampires, sorcery, enchantments, and commotion, she boldly asserts, “This is where it begins. This is his plan for us.
In its second season, “Mayfair Witches” features actors such as Ben Feldman, Ted Levine, and Thora Birch. This supernatural fantasy series is overseen by executive producers Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, Tom Williams, Michelle Ashford, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice. AMC Studios is responsible for its production.
Mayfair Witches” is a show set within Anne Rice’s universe, now under AMC Networks, who acquired rights to several of her books in a 2020 agreement. Notably, AMC has also produced the drama series “Interview With the Vampire,” adapted from Rice’s “Vampire Chronicles” novels, and another series in the franchise, titled “Anne Rice’s The Talamasca,” is currently being developed.
