Denzel Curry To Extend ‘King of the Mischievous South’ Mixtape

As a longtime fan who’s followed Denzel Curry’s journey from the Mischievous South to the heights of hip-hop stardom, I can confidently say that this “King of the Mischievous South” album version feels like a return home for the Florida rapper. The original mixtape was a raw, unpolished gem that laid the groundwork for his unique sound, and it’s exciting to see him revisit it with fresh eyes and new collaborations.

The pair of projects by rapper Denzel Curry, titled “King of the Mischievous South“, have been pivotal milestones in his career. Having released the first volume more than a decade ago and its follow-up, “King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2“, last July, the Florida rapper is revisiting the legacy of the 2012 project to give it fresh energy. Curry has revealed that he will be putting out an “album version” of “King of the Mischievous South“, adding a revised tracklist and five new songs to the original mixtape.

Initially, you get a peek at the project titled “STILL IN THE PAINT,” which features popular artists Lazer Dim 700 and Bktherula. This powerful track has a vibe reminiscent of Waka Flocka, and it’s accompanied by an engaging music video directed by AMD.

454, Duke Deuce, Sauce Walka, Key Nyata also show out on the extended version of the project.

Apple Music provides a sneak peek into the tracklist of an album, encompassing 19 songs, among them a fresh single from Curry himself.
