Shahid Kapoor is widely recognized as one of the top actors within the Bollywood film industry. Right now, he’s getting ready for the premiere of his upcoming movie titled Deva. During interviews and promotional events, Shahid shared an experience from his personal life where he felt belittled. He disclosed that there was a time when he found himself in a circumstance that made him feel inferior.
In a recent chat with Raj Shamani, I was asked about an instance in my life where I felt deeply down or belittled. Reflecting on my past, I recalled a time before taking on the role of Kabir Singh, when I experienced feelings of inferiority. To put it simply, there was a period when I felt as though I wasn’t enough, but I won’t delve into specifics about the situation. It’s essential to note that these feelings were self-perceived and not something that was imposed upon me by others.
Shahid articulated, “As an artist, a celebrity, and as an individual, I found myself in a circumstance that made me feel inferior. Yet, I firmly reject this notion.
Shahid also mentioned that it was more of a ‘comparison.’ Using clothing as an analogy, he explained, “It’s similar to when you have nicer clothes than I do.” He went on to say that these types of situations happen in life. Yet, the actor did not place blame on anyone for this comparison.
In his own words, Shahid Kapoor shared that he considers himself a ‘survivor.’ He explained that over the past 21 years, he has discovered an ability within himself to navigate through tough circumstances. Shahid emphasized that being stuck in difficult situations is not beneficial and one should learn how to extricate themselves from them instead.
In the upcoming movie “Deva,” starring Shahid Kapoor, we find an action-packed thriller where he portrays a police officer. The talented cast includes Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulatie, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait. Rosshan Andrrews directs this production, which is brought to you by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Umesh KR Bansal.
