As a long-time fan who has followed Kendrick Lamar‘s career since his early days, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing the latest rumors about a new album. Devin Malik’s tweet has added fuel to the fire, and the fact that he shared a clip from Kendrick’s Ken & Friends show only serves to heighten my anticipation.
Devin Malik is adding fuel to the rumors of a new Kendrick Lamar album via a recent tweet.
The TDE affiliate enthusiastically shared X to generate buzz about the alleged project, posting “Feeling good since K. Dot’s new album is coming!” along with a video of him and K. Dot at the latter’s Ken & Friends show in June. Malik did not disclose any further details such as a release timeline or his potential involvement in the album, leaving fans eager for more updates.
Malik expressed agreement with Terrace Martin’s recent announcement of a new Kendrick Lamar album, noting his anticipation for it during an Instagram Live session in early June. He mentioned Kendrick’s project alongside those of YG, Mustard, and Roddy Ricch, stating that he was eagerly looking forward to the music of these two Compton-based artists. “I’m excited about Roddy Ricch’s album and when Kendrick releases his, I’ll be even more so,” Malik explained, expressing his enthusiasm for their upcoming releases.
It appears that Lamar hasn’t confirmed it himself, but there’s a high chance we might get a new album from him soon. Notably, Malik and Martin have hinted at this possibility. Furthermore, Bloomberg recently disclosed that Dot (alongside Rihanna) turned down the headlining spot for Coachella 2025. This is because he’s already scheduled for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2023 and an arena tour the following year.
Stay tuned for more info.
