Diablo 4 Season 5: How to get Axial Conduit & all Unique item effects

As a seasoned Diablo veteran with countless hours spent in the dark and twisted realms of Sanctuary, I can confidently say that the Axial Conduit is a game-changer for any Sorcerer build! This Ancestral Unique pantaloons not only boosts the power of my go-to spell, Chain Lightning, but also provides a substantial damage reduction to keep me alive amidst the chaos.

One new Ancestral Unique that everyone’s looking to get in Diablo 4 Season 5 is the Axial Conduit. These pants are packing some seriously strong stats and can become vital parts of some of the most overpowered endgame builds.

Axial Conduit stats

  • 925 Armour
  • 23.5-32.5% Resource Generation and Maximum
  • +13.5-22.5% Chance for Chain Lightning Projectiles to Cast Twice
  • 10.5-15.0% Damage Reduction
  • +2-3 to Chain Lightning
  • Chain Lightning alternates between orbiting you and seeking up to 3 enemies. When it returns, it drains 6 Mana from your for each active Chain Lightning. After draining 66 total Mana, the bolt explodes for 225-900 Lightning Damage

You’ll notice that this Ancestral Unique is exceptionally potent in builds centered around the Chain Lightning Sorcerer ability. Not only does it amplify the basic power of the spell, but it also triggers substantial burst damage when there are numerous ongoing instances of Chain Lightning.

Alongside your spell’s effectiveness, you’ll gain a protective buffer with around 10-15% damage mitigation to help sustain your health, especially against formidable enemies where the damage accumulates progressively.

Utilizing the Lightning Rod Aspect effectively means that each Chain Lightning has a 25% probability of inflicting 50-80% more damage on regular enemies, and this multiplier doubles against bosses and crowd-controlled targets, potentially leading to substantial harm.

A great companion piece for this is the “Recharge Feature”, which grants you 1-3 Mana each time Chain Lightning rebounds. This helps maintain the sequence and prevents the spell from expiring before your Mana does.

How to get Axial Conduit

Similar to other Uniques and Ancestral Uniques, Axial Conduit doesn’t have a set location or spawn point. Instead, you should concentrate on any of the established Unique zones within the game. Examples of these areas are:

  • Opening chests on World Tier 3 and above
  • Defeating Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint in the Hall of the Penitent
  • Clearing World Events like Nightmare Dungeons and the Helltide

In World Tier 3 and beyond, any loot box you open might contain a Rare, one-of-a-kind item. However, the odds are quite slim, so it’s not advisable to heavily depend on this occurrence.

Instead, focus on defeating Uber Boss Grigoire, who resides in the Hall of the Penitent. Although it’s not certain, he might drop an item beneficial for Sorcerers. Therefore, if possible, attempt to complete this task multiple times.

To summon the boss, I’ll need some Living Steel first, and here’s a fun way to get it – by cracking open Tortured Gifts in the Helltide! And guess what? With the arrival of Season 5, there’s an exciting twist – these Tortured Gifts could potentially drop Uniques as well! So not only is this method efficient for getting the Axial Conduit, but it now offers a chance at something rare and unique too.
