Diane Keaton encountered a predicament in her fashion choices as her preferred sunglasses models were no longer being produced. This iconic Emmy winner took matters into her own hands, creating a solution not only for herself but also for everyone else, by launching her debut line of eyewear – the first collection she’s ever designed.

Featuring prices between $68 to $102, the Diane Keaton x Lookoptic line offers classic readers with scratch-resistant lenses in standard or progressive versions, available in clear or tinted options. The collection boasts solid and tortoiseshell frames in glossy black, dark green, brown, and taupe. Lens choices include clear, green, or blue tints, as well as varying magnifications such as 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3+.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about these spectacles! They’re meticulously crafted to accommodate a variety of face sizes and shapes, even those with more slender features. The Italian spring hinges and wire-core temples ensure a comfortable fit that feels like a glove. Plus, their eco-friendly appeal is undeniable – they’re made entirely from recycled metal and come packaged in a case crafted from recycled felt. It’s a win-win for both fashion and sustainability!

In a statement, Lookoptic founder Andrew Leary expresses that when people think of famous women who wear glasses, none are more iconic than Diane Keaton. He explains that when they approached her about a collaboration, they found out her preferred style had been discontinued. As a result, they worked together to redesign the shape, incorporating tints and new color options, which led to the creation of the ‘Keaton’ style!

Ahead of Dustin Hoffman’s upcoming book titled “Fashion First,” due for release on September 3rd by Rizzoli, there is a partnership between his five-style eyewear line and Lookoptic. The book, penned by the star of Annie Hall, includes a foreword written by designer Ralph Lauren. The 304-page book showcases Keaton’s favorite (as well as less preferred) fashion moments spanning several decades, including personal creations from her childhood, red carpet and street style outfits from the ’60s up until the present day.
