Aamir Khan is highly admired in India for his work on films with various topics. One example is the movie “Taare Zameen Par,” which centers around a child dealing with dyslexia. Notably, Junaid Khan, Aamir’s son, disclosed that his parents became aware of his dyslexia after reading the script for this very film.
In a recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani on YouTube, Junaid Khan revealed that his dyslexia was identified following the viewing of the script for the critically successful film “Taare Zameen Par” by his parents, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta. They noticed similar symptoms in him and subsequently sought expert guidance. As he started treatment at a young age, it had minimal impact on his life overall.
When they listened to the storyline of “Taare Zameen Par”, they exclaimed something like, ‘Just a moment… This reminds us of our own experiences’. It wasn’t long after that, they took me to a specialist and I was diagnosed with dyslexia, which I later shared.
Khan attributes his early recognition and assistance with dyslexia as a crucial factor that smoothed out his path. He was thankful for this support and mentioned that his parents did not pressure him academically during his school and college years because of this challenge.
The 31-year-old actor shared, “My parents didn’t worry too much about my grades… I was identified as having dyslexia at a young age. Therefore, they were careful about this when it came to my education.
In terms of his acting career, Junaid Khan first appeared on screen in the Netflix film “Maharaj” in 2024, sharing roles with Sharvari and Jaideep Ahlawat. Following this, he will feature in the upcoming movie “Loveyapa,” alongside Khushi Kapoor. The initial song from this project has already been released. Additionally, there’s a film titled “Ek Din” with Sai Pallavi lined up for him as well.
In 2007, the movie Taare Zameen Par was released, featuring actors like Aamir Khan, Darsheel Safary, Tisca Chopra, among others. This film garnered critical acclaim and helped bring attention to a significant issue. The sequel to this film, titled Sitaare Zameen Par, is currently being developed and will star Aamir Khan, Genelia D’Souza, and other talented actors.
