As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in cinema, I must say that Hrithik Roshan is truly a unique individual both on and off-screen. His charisma, acting prowess, and dance moves have earned him the title of ‘Greek God of Bollywood,’ but it’s his humble love for Indian snacks like samosas that endears him to millions of fans.
In simpler terms, the popular Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is affectionately known as the “Bollywood Greek God.” Besides being an exceptional actor, he also exhibits astounding dancing abilities that are frequently displayed in his films. To maintain his fitness, Hrithik sticks to a diet rich in protein and low to moderate carbs. Interestingly, this fitness enthusiast has a soft spot for Indian snacks. In one instance, the man behind The Fighter confessed that he can easily consume eight samosas at once! Catch his amusing reaction at the end of that statement.
During an interview on Zoom, Hrithik Roshan shared his fondness for samosas while advertising his 2017 movie, Kaabil. When asked about how many samosas he could eat at one go, the actor from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham initially stated that he can consume around 25 pieces.
Whenever I watch a movie, I begin by eating eight samosas – four at a time. This is what Hrithik shared with his co-star, Yami Gautam, leaving her taken aback.
The interviewer then inquired, “Where does that belong?” To which, the actor from Kaabil humorously responded, “Within me.” Yami Gautam, who was present during the promotion, connected Hrithik’s fondness for samosas to her own past experiences.
Reflecting back to my admiration for Hrithik Roshan’s character, Rohan Raichand, in the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, I recall his youthful fascination with food. Just like how young Rohan (portrayed by Kavish Majumdar) relished burgers, laddoos, and various other delicacies, my own childhood memories are filled with similar joy and appetite for culinary explorations.
Under the direction of Sanjay Gupta, the 2017 film Kaabil showcased Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. Supporting actors included Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy. The narrative of Kaabil centered around Hrithik’s character, Rohan Bhatnagar, a talented blind dubbing artist. Yami played his on-screen spouse, Supriya Bhatnagar. Notably, the film was produced by Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik’s father who is an actor and filmmaker.
In the forthcoming project under Ayan Mukerji’s direction, I will grace the screens with my presence, titled War 2 – a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster, War, masterfully directed by Siddharth Anand. Additionally, I am fortunate enough to make a cameo in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming spy thriller, Alpha, which stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as the leads.
