Did you know Raveena Tandon shot Mohra’s Tip Tip Barsa with bleeding knees and high fever? Actress says ‘It was painful, there were bruises’

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for Bollywood and its behind-the-scenes stories, I must say Raveena Tandon‘s recollection of filming Tip Tip Barsa Pani is nothing short of inspiring. Her resilience in the face of pain and discomfort is a testament to her dedication as an artist. It’s easy for us viewers to get swept away by the glamour and chemistry on screen, but it’s important to remember the sacrifices made off-screen.

More recently, Raveena Tandon shared insights about the hardships encountered during the filming of the famous Tip Tip Barsa Pani scene from Mohra. Even though the song is renowned for its seductive allure and the scorching chemistry between her and Akshay Kumar, Raveena disclosed that she sustained injuries during the shoot, such as bleeding on her knees and ankles, and a nail that became lodged in her foot due to rust.

The next day, she too felt feverish. She exclaimed, “I’ve got bleeding knees and ankles! A rusty nail went through my foot, so I needed a tetanus shot. It was excruciatingly painful, but somehow, I managed to keep smiling.” Raveena then added, “There were bruises all over, yet I found myself grinning.”

During an interview with Galatta Plus, Raveena Tandon shared the hardships she encountered while filming the hit song “Tip Tip Barsa Pani.” She detailed the challenging conditions, such as using water from freezing tankers instead of heated ones, and shooting on a construction site which made it difficult to wear knee pads or heels due to her saree. This resulted in her sliding on her knees, causing cuts on her knees and ankles, and eventually needing a tetanus shot after a rusty nail punctured her foot.

Raveena pointed out that while the song might seem glamorous to spectators, the truth was far from it. She elaborated that beneath its flashy exterior, making the film wasn’t enjoyable at all. She put it bluntly, “It seems like a ball of fun, but let me tell you, there was no fun here!” She revealed that the process was agonizing, with bruises and discomfort, and the only thing that looked joyful was her face. After several icy showers, she fell ill with a fever, which she powered through for the next three days on set.

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood classics, I can’t help but reminisce about the iconic song “Tip Tip Barsa Pani,” which brilliantly showcased the magnetic chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. This unforgettable track from the 1994 film Mohra was sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan, and it’s still cherished for its enchanting melody and sensual allure. The saree worn by Raveena in the video has become a symbol of pop culture, solidifying the song as an enduring classic in Bollywood.

In the upcoming movie “Welcome to the Jungle”, Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar will join forces once again. This film is part of the well-known Welcome series, which boasts an impressive ensemble including Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Shreyas Talpade, and Lara Dutta. The movie is set to hit theaters during Christmas 2024, promising a dose of humor and stellar performances on the big screen.
