Did You Know? Salman Khan claimed Harshvardhan Rane, Mawra Hocane’s Sanam Teri Kasam was a ‘superhit’ only after watching the trailer

Salman Khan expressed strong confidence in the film Sanam Teri Kasam, stating he believed it would be a box office success upon viewing the trailer. Nine years later, the directors Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao are delighted to see that the actor’s prediction came true. The filmmakers also remembered Khan suggesting they postpone the release, concentrate on marketing efforts, and even provided assistance for the movie.

As a dedicated follower, I’m thrilled to share an intriguing piece of information I recently came across. In an interview with PTI, Radhika Rao disclosed that today, we can boastfully say that when the world didn’t see Sanam Teri Kasam as a potential superhit, Salman Khan made an astute prediction based on just two minutes of the trailer, foreseeing it would be a blockbuster.

Vinay Sapru shared that they relied on a production studio for their project, which was like their child – the movie, prior to filming. Regrettably, they found out in the end that the studio had been less than honest with them.

He mentioned that typically, studios follow a standard strategy for marketing movies, which includes arranging a five-city promotional tour and participating in popular reality shows like Bigg Boss to generate interest. However, it appears they neglected these strategies, leading to surprise among those involved.

Just prior to the movie’s premiere, the directors sought Salman Khan’s thoughts. They confided in him that they harbored doubts about their work, fearing they had produced a misguided film because there was little excitement surrounding it. The studio, however, pointed the finger of blame towards them.

When someone brought up the upcoming movie, Salman inquired, “Which film is that?”, which took them by surprise because it was set to premiere in only four days, and he hadn’t known about it yet.

Following the trailer viewing, it’s said that Khan expressed confidence in the film being a blockbuster hit and an extraordinary spectacle. However, he pointed out that the main challenge was its lack of public awareness. His suggestion was to postpone the release date and concentrate on marketing efforts, emphasizing that this film was destined for success and unstoppable.

Later on, she shared that Salman Khan had expressed to them that they should’ve contacted him earlier. He pointed out that given their personal connection with him, they should have sought his assistance sooner. Moreover, he mentioned that their movie was exceptional, and he would have wholeheartedly backed it all the way.

After being asked by the actors, Sikandar inquired about how he could assist them. The directors then proposed that he share a post about the movie on Twitter, which he readily consented to and did so promptly. Radhika pointed out that they noticed sincerity in his eyes when he offered help.
