As a dedicated follower of Bollywood news and a huge fan of Suniel Shetty, I was absolutely amazed to hear about the heartwarming gesture of gratitude shown by the veteran actor towards Mukesh Chhabra. It’s not every day that we come across such selfless acts of kindness in the industry.
Suneil Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty made her debut in 2015 with the film Hero opposite Sooraj Pancholi. This Nikkhil Advani directorial saw a casting by Mukesh Chhabra who is one of the best in the business. Recently while speaking on the Bharti TV channel, the seasoned casting director revealed how the dad Shetty gifted him a huge bungalow after Hero happened as a note of gratitude.
When Suneil Shetty gifted his Aram Nagar bungalow to Mukesh Chhabra
As a devoted admirer of Suniel Shetty in Mumbai, I’d like to share an experience from my past during the casting process for Hero. Although I operated a humble office at that time, it was Suniel who went above and beyond to help me out. When we faced a predicament, he generously offered his Aram Nagar bungalow, numbered 160, as an alternative venue.
Mukesh remarked, “That man keeps his good deeds to himself. He generously gifted me a large house at Aram Nagar without asking for rent in return. As a token of gratitude for your help with my daughter, here’s the key.” Later on, the Dangal casting team transformed the office, added new decorations, created a fresh logo, and held an official inauguration ceremony.
On that particular day, Rajkummar Rao was among the several actors who showed up. With the help of his trusted circle of friends, he expanded his business so significantly that today it boasts locations in Chandigarh, Delhi, and London.
On the work front
Athiya’s first film as an actress was a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 hit “Hero,” originally starring Jackie Shroff. The reboot received a mix of positive and negative feedback when it premiered. After appearing in “Mubarakan” and “Motichoor Chaknachoor,” Athiya took a hiatus from acting. In early 2023, she married cricketer KL Rahul on the 23rd of January.
I, as a devoted fan, am thrilled to share that the actress’s brother, Ahan Shetty, kicked off his acting career with Milan Luthria’s 2021 production titled Tadap, alongside Tara Sutaria. On the contrary, my beloved star, Suniel, is all set to grace our screens in Welcome to the Jungle. He will be sharing the limelight with an incredible ensemble cast consisting of Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani among other talented individuals.
