Did you know Taapsee Pannu’s husband Mathias Boe proposed to take her on a date in Dubai? Actress’ friends advised ‘don’t let him sell you’

As an ardent admirer of Taapsee Pannu, I find her life story incredibly inspiring. Her journey from a small-town girl in India to Bollywood stardom, and now, to a globally recognized figure married to a Danish badminton player, is nothing short of remarkable.

Actress Taapsee Pannu is now married to Danish badminton player Mathias Boe, whom she wed in March 2024 following a ten-year relationship. When they first met, some of Taapsee’s friends had reservations due to their geographical differences – Taapsee was based in India and Mathias in Denmark. Their first date was in Dubai, and her friends urged her to be cautious about her safety, suggesting she avoid any attempts by Mathias to ‘auction’ her off to a Sheikh.

Taapsee Pannu told Raunaq Rajani on his show Relationshit Advice that her friends became concerned when she mentioned her plans to meet Mathias in Dubai. They voiced worries about the potential dangers of meeting someone from a different culture and even made lighthearted jokes about Mathias trying to “sell” her to a Sheikh. Taapsee remembered, “My friends cautioned me, ‘Be careful.’ They warned me, ‘Don’t let him exploit you.’ I wasn’t joking.”

As someone who has built strong, long-lasting relationships over many years, I can attest to the importance of trust and reliability in those bonds. In my own experience, I have learned that even when a loved one seems far away or unable to intervene in a difficult situation, their support can still be crucial.

In response to being questioned about the most daring action she took for love, Taapsee divulged that arranging travel for a trans-continental date was the most remarkable act she undertook. She reminisced about Mathias suggesting they meet in Denmark or Dubai because he was acquainted with both places. However, Taapsee admitted to feeling apprehensive about traveling to Denmark, primarily due to the intricacies involved in securing a Schengen visa.

Apart from sharing her thoughts on self-worth, she mentioned that she initially doubted Mathias’ interest due to feelings of insecurity, particularly when engaging with someone who appeared to be of a different race, given her background. She openly acknowledged that this persistent sense of inferiority is something she regularly grapples with.

Taapsee Pannu discussed her relationship with Mathias Boe, revealing they met approximately 10-11 years ago, and he popped the question only a year later. She noted that their engagement endured for nine years, and despite the prolonged wait, neither of them wavered in their commitment. Taapsee emphasized their shared conviction in spending the rest of their lives as one.

Currently, actress Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for the premiere of Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, a follow-up to the original Haseen Dillruba. This project is helmed by director Jayprad Desai and stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. The movie is scheduled to debut on Netflix on August 9, 2024. In addition, Taapsee will join forces with her Mission Mangal co-star Akshay Kumar in Khel Khel Mein, a film that also includes Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. This production is slated for release on India’s Independence Day. Taapsee will also be seen in the upcoming movie titled Woh Ladki Hain Kahaan?.
