Investigation Discovery, known for its true-crime series like “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV“, has hinted at a four-part documentary called “The Fall of Diddy“, which delves into the life of Sean “Diddy” Combs as he faces accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering while in prison.
The two-part documentary series, set to broadcast on January 27 and 28 at 9 p.m., delves into accusations of sexual harassment, abusive conduct, and violence against Sean Combs (also known as Diddy) from various sources. These include Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer who claims Combs sexually harassed him, Thalia Graves, who alleges that Diddy violently raped her in 2001 and then intimidated her into silence, and Danyel Smith, the ex-editor-in-chief of VIBE magazine, who discusses alleged violent behavior she experienced.
In addition to the interviews in the ID and Max series, there’s also participation from a former personal driver, a past chef, an early publicist, and makeup artist Mylah Morales. Morales claims she observed Puff Daddy (also known as Sean Combs) abusing his singer ex-girlfriend Cassie, or Casandra Ventura. The trailer contains a chilling clip from March 5, 2016, where footage released by CNN shows Combs attacking Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. He can be seen kicking and pushing her, then dragging her by her sweatshirt before hurling an object at her.
In addition to other segments, the documentary series includes an interview with Natania Griffin, who was a victim of the infamous 1999 New York City nightclub shooting involving Combs. During the preview, a young woman appears to be preparing for her interview, sitting in a chair with no light, as a voiceover says: “Truth always emerges, even in the shadows.
ID told THR it is not revealing the identity of the young woman at this time.
Peacock will premiere a 90-minute documentary about Diddy, titled “Diddy: The Birth of Bad Boy“, on January 14th.
The Maxine Productions’ docuseries titled “The Fall of Diddy” explores the life story of Sean Combs, starting from his college years at Howard University and his early days with Bad Boy Records. It delves into the allegations of violent behavior and temperament he was known for during this period. The series chronicles his transformation into Puffy and subsequently Diddy, culminating in his 2024 arrest and the release of his mugshot.
55-year-old Sean “Diddy” Combs is presently incarcerated, awaiting a court trial in May, at the Metropolitan Detention Center located in Brooklyn. Furthermore, he is involved in over two dozen lawsuits that allege claims of sexual misconduct against him.
The Fall of Diddy was created for ID by Maxine Productions, along with The Intellectual Property Corporation (a division of Sony Pictures Television), and Rolling Stone Films.
