As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that for the price of SS25, the innovative Japanese label DIGAWEL revisits its “officeware” concept, a journey initiated back in 2018. This exploration delved into the intricate equilibrium between work and life, skillfully woven through design.
In recent times, with an increase in remote work and freelance jobs, the boundary between work and personal life has become more fluid, and this flexibility extends to our wardrobes as well. DIGAWEL’s new collection reflects this change by blending unexpected fashion styles from various professions and lifestyles in a tasteful manner.
As a gamer, I’ve got this unique fashion thing going on where I blend office-friendly ties, sturdy workwear, and easygoing casuals into my everyday style. It’s all about that balance between chill and sharp. For instance, one day I might rock a fully buttoned blue Oxford shirt with a playful twist – plaid boxer shorts and black loafers. On another, I could pair baggy double-knee carpenter shorts with a white shirt, a black necktie, and a navy chore coat – merging the vibes of both blue and white collar styles.
Despite a relaxed feel, the collection manages to combine everyday wearability with a sophisticated harmony in its design. Essential items are showcased in more subdued styles, such as a loose grey t-shirt paired with baggy jeans, and another outfit featuring an oversized black tee matched with high-waisted pleated pants.
This assortment emphasizes durable work clothing pieces too, featuring a versatile gray boiler suit complete with multiple pockets and zigzag zippers, along with additional workwear designs such as chore jackets and denim jumpsuits.
The latest collection from DIGAWEL, known as SS25, is anticipated to hit the shelves in mid-January. This release will take place on both the brand’s online store and its Tokyo retail outlet.
