As a dedicated follower of Bollywood and a student of human emotions, I can only express my deepest condolences to Divya Seth Shah and her family on the tragic loss of their beloved daughter Mihika. Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare, and my heart goes out to them during this difficult time.
Tragically, Mihika Shah, daughter of Bollywood actress Divya Seth Shah and granddaughter of legendary actress Sushma Seth, passed away on August 5 in Mumbai. According to reports from people close to the family, Mihika had fallen ill with a fever which later developed into a seizure.
According to other reports, it’s been shared that Mihika Shah’s loved ones are deeply affected by her unexpected passing. A prayer gathering has been planned for August 8th instead.
In a heartfelt message, I, Divya Seth, along with my husband Siddharth Shah, share the heavy news that our cherished daughter Mihika Shah has departed from us to be with the angels on August 5th, 2024. We would like to invite everyone to join us in a prayer meeting honoring her memory, which will take place at the specified time and location this coming Thursday.
On the 29th of July, Divya uploaded a touching Instagram post showcasing three generations of women from her family. In the photo, she’s pictured with her daughter, who donned a green dress and beamed with happiness, as well as her mother, elegantly dressed in red. Accompanying the picture, the actress wrote, “DNA is the only truth; everything else is just a lot of effort. Thank you to the source of life.”
24-year-old Mihika, born in September, was a granddaughter of renowned actress Sushma Seth, best recognized for her roles in films such as Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham…, Chal Mere Bhai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Nagina, and Student of the Year, to name a few. However, unlike her grandmother, Mihika was focused on her studies and managed to keep herself out of the limelight in the media.
In the meantime, Divyanka got married to Siddharth following a lengthy courtship, while she’s been active in films and web series. Among her notable works are Jab We Met with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, English Vinglish featuring Sridevi, Patel Ki Pubjabi Shaadi alongside Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, Article 370 starring Yami Gautam, and many others.
Among the web series she’s involved in are Fittrat, City of Dreams, Sandwiched Forever, The Married Woman (which is her latest), and Duranga, with The Married Woman being her most recent project directed by Sahir Raza.
