Under the guidance of Honey Trehan, the film Punjab ’95 is a portrayal of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a prominent Sikh activist who vanished in September 1995. Interestingly, ten years later, six police officers from Punjab were incarcerated on charges related to his suspected murder.
According to a report from Mid-Day, the Cinema Board of India has proposed approximately 120 edits for the movie, which includes a modification to its title, as the current one pertains to the year of activist Khalra’s demise.
