For Fall/Winter 2025, Dingyun Zhang looks back to his childhood memorabilia for design inspiration. The collection is titled “PLAYFORM,” a blend of the imaginative concept of “play” and the structural essence of “form.” This title represents the playful reinvention of traditional uniforms.

In his newest collection, Zhang emphasizes striking size, unique shapes, and groundbreaking outlines, as well as eye-catching material selections. This design philosophy is inspired by Zhang’s enthusiasm for vintage G.I. Joe action figures, which can be seen in the styling of the pieces. Instead of models, rigid mannequins with camouflage face paint – a tribute to his cherished action figure toys – are used in the lookbook.
