Director Todd Holland Signs With Buchwald (Exclusive)

Director and producer Todd Holland has signed with Buchwald for representation.

Over the course of his illustrious career, this multiple Emmy and Directors Guild Award recipient has overseen more than 150 television episodes, numerous pilots, and several full-length films. He is particularly renowned for his work on HBO’s The Larry Sanders Show and Fox’s Malcolm in the Middle. In fact, he directed 51 episodes of the former and 26 episodes of the latter, receiving Emmys for his contributions to both programs.

This award-winning director has worked on over 150 TV shows, many pilots, and some movies throughout his career. He is well-known for directing episodes of HBO’s The Larry Sanders Show and Fox’s Malcolm in the Middle. Specifically, he directed 51 episodes of the former and 26 episodes of the latter, and even won Emmys for his work on both shows.

Apart from his notable feature films, Holland has also directed episodes for shows such as 30 Rock, Twin Peaks, My So-Called Life, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Not Dead Yet, and Grace and Frankie. Moreover, he was instrumental in establishing the visual style for numerous series like Go On, The Real O’Neals, Girls Club, and Mr. Mayor, having directed their pilot episodes as well.

Lately, Holland has been at the helm and shared story credit for the movie “Monster High 2” on Paramount+ (he also directed its first part), which was nominated for a Children’s and Family Emmy Award for best nonfiction special. He teamed up with Bryan Fuller in the early 2000s to create the popular series “Wonderfalls”, earning a nomination for a Writers Guild Award for episodic comedy, shared with Fuller. His first directorial credit was on an episode of the Steven Spielberg-produced “Amazing Stories” back in 1986.
