‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ (Season 6)
Stream on April 8
In a chilling return after an extended break of over two years, the final season of the uncompromising dystopian series, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” is here. The last time we left June (Elisabeth Moss), she was escaping Canada with her child, but the country, once a refuge, has now become dangerous due to Gilead sympathizers. To her astonishment, Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) and her son were also on the same departing train. As tension simmers within Gilead, their alliance – forged in unlikely circumstances – remains tenuous. In this sixth season, they will once more find themselves at odds as rebellion stirs within the oppressive regime.
There’s no question that Season 6 of The Handmaid’s Tale will reach a climax as June, Luke (O-T Fagbenle), and Moira (Samira Wiley) continue their resistance efforts. Meanwhile, Serena, Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford), and Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) must confront the repercussions of their actions. Even Nick (Max Minghella), who has skillfully navigated his position in earlier seasons, will have to make some pivotal choices. Regardless, the final season is shaping up to be a thrilling one filled with drama. Don’t miss The Handmaid’s Tale when it premieres on April 8.
