Disney Announces ‘Ice Age 6’ Is Currently in the Works

As a child of the late 90s and early 2000s, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia at the announcement of Ice Age 6. The original films were part of my childhood, and the characters Manny, Sid, Diego, and Scrat have been a constant companion throughout my life.

Disney and 20th Century Animation have revealed that the sixth installment of “Ice Age” is in production. Characters like Manny, Sid, and Diego, along with the rest of their animal friends, will once again grace our movie screens as they revisit the Pleistocene era.

As a dedicated Ice Age fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard the news straight from Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, and Simon Pegg – the talented voices that have brought our favorite characters to life throughout the franchise. They announced that we’re in for a new adventure in the sixth installment! The production is already underway, which means we won’t have to wait much longer. It’s been quite a journey since the first film hit theaters in 2002, and over the years, the Ice Age universe has expanded with numerous shorts, series, and even a spin-off back in 2016. The last film earned a staggering $408.5 million globally, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time around!

Although Disney hasn’t revealed the exact release date for the sixth movie, its box office performance has certainly led to a new installment in the series. Take a look at Romano making the announcement in the video below.

At the recent #D23Brasil event, we’re thrilled to share that Ice Age 6 is currently being made! The beloved voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, and Simon Pegg are reprising their roles for a fresh, exciting journey on the big screen.
