Disney’s TV units are undergoing a major reorganization.
On Tuesday, a major media company revealed plans to close down their ABC Signature studio, instead choosing to consolidate its activities with 20th Television. Furthermore, the comedic and dramatic content creation units from Hulu and ABC will be combined as well.
20th Television’s President, Karey Burke, will maintain her role as head of the merged studio. Simran Sethi has been promoted to the position of President for Scripted Programming at Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, taking charge of development initiatives. This restructuring is expected to lead to approximately 30 job redundancies, according to Disney.
