Venu is dead.
The jointly founded sports streaming platform by The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Fox Corporation has been announced to not proceed, as confirmed by the companies on Friday.
Following thorough discussions, we’ve decided as a team to shut down the Venu Sports collaboration and not debut the streaming platform. In a dynamic market environment, we found it more suitable to cater to sports enthusiasts by enhancing our current offerings and distribution networks. We are pleased with the progress made on Venu so far and appreciate the dedication of the Venu team during this project. They can rest assured that we will assist them throughout this transition phase.
More to come.
