Monitoring the latest updates at Walt Disney World comes with its pros and cons, but the cons often lead us to a topic we’d rather avoid: rising ticket costs. Despite financial analysts pointing out Disney World’s escalating prices as ‘out of control’, these magical admission tickets keep going up, as do premium passes such as those for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Friends who are fondly known as Mouseketeers, be prepared! It’s time to dig deep into your wallets as Disney Parks is set to charge you for their annual event. According to their event portal, the cost per person will range from around $119 to $209 during the period from August 15th to October 29th. However, if you’re up for a bit of extra fright, you can spend $229 per person on the October 30th session.
It’s somewhat relieving that Halloween night is completely booked, as I’m apprehensive about the Disney-style tax (Mouse Tax) on All Hallow’s Eve, particularly considering those ticket prices are for ages 10 and up. But there’s a bright side to this situation, one that’s more rewarding than scary, and it’s not just about Minnie Mouse dressed as the Sanderson Sisters.
Based on data from BlogMickey’s archives, ticket prices for last year’s Halloween festival ranged between $119 and $199 throughout its duration. This year, the cheaper Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween passes are still within this price range. However, higher costs apply from October 17th until the end of the month. If you wish to avoid these costlier dates, your only option is to attend on nights prior to that special date in the calendar.
What benefits does the hard ticket for your Disney trip offer? It provides access to the parks from 7 p.m. to midnight during a restricted event. Additionally, you’ll enjoy trick-or-treat paths, a unique fireworks display, and of course, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.

The downside is that you’ll need to spend extra money on top of the park tickets, similar to other events like Disneyland After Dark. Furthermore, if this trip involves young children, the late hours might disrupt their sleep schedule – despite it being a vacation. However, perhaps your kids are eager to stay in the Magic Kingdom until midnight, collecting candy and potentially encountering Judge Doom (if Walt Disney World has chosen to let him join the festivities).
Oh dear… It seems both my credit card and my wife have let out a pained sigh, as I’m beginning to warm up to this concept. Is it unfortunate that Disney Parks ticket prices are still climbing? Any devotee of this enchanting world would likely respond with an emphatic “Yes, why on earth would you even suggest otherwise?
Is all the additional planning, costs, and effort justified? Time will tell, as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 doesn’t commence until August 15th. Don’t fret if you can’t make it; Disney World’s Jollywood Nights is just around the corner to put your wallet in a festive mood!
